Job Description
Help develop new cosmetic and personal care products and improve
existing products. Perform laboratory experiments relating to cosmetic
and personal care products. Given well-defined small projects, plans
and implements the design, and interprets the results. Demonstrate
fundamental understanding of general chemistry concerning cosmetic
raw ingredients. Use analytical and experimental data to analyze
cause/effect relationships between various components of cosmetic and
personal care materials. Analyze formulations and mechanics of
interaction between effect pigments and various other constituents of
cosmetic and personal care products. Provide sales and marketing
support through appropriate application samples and technical
service/support to our customer base.
Qualifications
Minimum B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or related science. BASF
recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the
Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Minimum of 2
years experience in developing new product/application in a industrial
laboratory setting, preferably in the cosmetic industry. Has academic
knowledge and training in basic chemistry principles and procedures.
Be capable of performing basic chemistry functions. Self motivation
and technical astuteness are required. Interpersonal skills and good
oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work
and contribute in a team environment. Excellent multitasking skills
with attention to details.
