Description:
• Drive sales development within BASF’s Cosmetic Effect Pigment
product line by:
• Effectively managing current business development with
customers.
• Identifying and evaluating areas with new business potential,
and screening new business opportunities.
• Developing and managing proactive customer account plans.
• Implementing joint R&D projects with customers.
• Launching and positioning new products/offerings with
customers.
• Achieving sales and contribution margin targets for products
according to the business strategy.
• Working cooperatively with other business and corporate
functions both regionally and globally, including:
o Business management
o Technical services
o Product management
o Strategic marketing
o R&D
o Legal
o Supply Chain management
Qualifications
• College degree in chemistry or related technical field.
• Three years prior technical sales or formulation experience in
the personal care industry.
• Strong experience base in cosmetic pigments.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to
influence key decision-makers at all levels preferred.
• Ability to work independently with a minimal amount of
supervision.
• Willingness to travel 70% of time.
• Demonstrated competence in both technical and commercial
capacities preferred.
• Demonstrated track record in developing new business
preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate extensive R& D contacts
preferred.
• Strong in business and financial acumen.
