Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company Division of
Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. develops and
markets baby care, wound care and skin care products that address
the needs of consumers and health care professionals and
incorporate the latest innovations. The portfolio includes heritage
brands JOHNSON’S® Baby and BAND-AID® Brand, as well as
leading skin care brands such as AVEENO® and CLEAN & CLEAR®.
Candidate will be responsible for identifying and creating new and
upgraded products in Women's Health, particularly in the area of
tampons. The product development activities that the candidate will
be responsible for includes upstream prototyping, patent searches,
developing product development plans, consumer testing activities,
establishing internal and external contacts, process trial support,
writing specifications, and designing to cost. The candidate will need
to interpret consumer learnings, determine if they meet brand
strategy and translate the information into product executions that
meet the consumer need(s). Candidate will work on a cross-
functional team including, but not limited to, engineering, marketing,
regulatory, and market/consumer research to meet all the
necessary requirements to make a successful, on-time launch. The
candidate will be the product development leader on the cross-
functional team and be responsible for the completion of design
control. The candidate will also be responsible for developing claims
and claims substantiation for existing and new products.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering,
Biomedical, Materials Science, or a related discipline and 3+ years of
industry experience in the consumer personal products industry is
required. A highly motivated, results-oriented, self starter must be
able to work both independently and collaboratively as the product
development leader on cross-functional teams (consumer science,
engineering, technology, regulatory affairs, etc.) for multiple
projects is required. The experience and ability to reach out to both
internal and external resources to advance programs smarter,
faster, and flawlessly is required. The ability to develop an
understanding of consumer needs and translate consumer needs to
product innovation is required. Good communication and
presentation skills are required. Strong analytical thinking with the
ability to work through ambiguity, make complex problems clear and
communicate to nontechnical partners is required. Mechanical
propensity and the ability to be hands-on are required as product
performance relies heavily on the process in which it is made.
Experience in design control is a plus. Experience with medical
devices, patents, and claims are preferred. Global experience is a
plus. The ability to move from details to big picture is required.
Potentially 20-25% travel (Domestic, International) depending on
project assignments is required. The ability to work in Skillman, NJ is
required.
