from a Local Scientist: Peter Rousso
SPEAKER: PETER ROUSSO
SUMMARY: Peter Rousso, VP Liquid Technology and Regulatory at Helen of Troy Beauty and Wellness. Peter will be giving a talk discussing his career paths and the events and choices that led him to where he is today.
Peter started his career almost 40 years ago working in the QA lab at Clairol. He is currently the VP of Liquid technology and regulatory for Helen of Troy which owns brands such as DryBar, Hot Tools and CurlSmith.
Peter grew up in Bridgeport and currently lives in Trumbull with his wife and dog, Mason. His three children have all moved out and are starting their own successful careers. In his spare time he had a second career as a volunteer firefighter for 37 years. Peter served as Chief for 7 of those years and is also a certified Fire Instructor. Peter is also a hobbyist woodworker and enjoys softball and other sporting activities.
